With love, Marylin

Synopsis

From Norma Jeane Baker to Marilyn Monroe, With Love, Marilyn follows the extraordinary life of a woman who became one of the most recognisable faces in the world, while struggling to be seen beyond the image Hollywood created for her.

As Marilyn rises from a troubled childhood into the dazzling world of Hollywood, she finds fame, love and opportunity — but at a devastating cost. Haunted by an unstable relationship with her mother and the wounds of her past, Marilyn battles to find security and acceptance in an industry determined to control her image. Behind the blonde hair, the glamour and the cameras is a woman desperate to be understood. As her public persona grows larger, the distance between Marilyn Monroe and Norma Jeane becomes increasingly difficult to escape.

With Love, Marilyn is an intimate portrait of the woman behind the icon — her dreams, relationships, vulnerabilities and relentless desire to be loved for who she truly was.

Ada Michaels-Mason takes on the dual portrayal of Marilyn Monroe and Norma Jeane Baker, exploring the complex relationship between the woman behind the icon and the persona the world came to know.

The role required Ada to portray two distinct sides of the same woman — Norma Jeane, vulnerable, ambitious and shaped by a deeply troubled childhood, and Marilyn Monroe, the glamorous, magnetic Hollywood star created in the public imagination.

Through subtle changes in physicality, voice, mannerisms and emotional expression, Ada explores the contrast between Marilyn's public confidence and Norma Jeane's private vulnerability. Her performance centres on the emotional journey between these two identities, portraying a woman who could command an entire room while privately struggling with insecurity, loneliness and the desire to be loved beyond her image.

Taking on one of cinema's most recognisable figures, Ada approached Marilyn not as an imitation, but as a human being behind the legend, seeking to uncover the woman beneath the blonde hair, cameras and Hollywood mythology.
